What is Gigi’s Grapes?
Gigi’s Grapes is a private wine education experience designed to make learning about wine approachable, social, and FUN! Each experience combines guided wine tasting with education on topics such as winemaking, terroir, how to taste wine, wine regions/AVAs, how the industry works, and much more!
Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just beginning your wine journey, Gigi’s Grapes creates an interactive experience where you can learn, taste, and enjoy wine with your favorite people.
What can I expect out of an experience?
Each experience is curated towards the event and what world of wine you and your group would like to explore. Each session is 90 minutes of a relaxed, conversational environment where there are no wrong questions and curiosity is highly encourage.
Who is Gigi's Grapes for?
Gigi’s Grapes is for anyone who wants to learn more about wine in a comfortable, social setting.
Gigi’s Grapes is great for girls' nights, birthdays, celebrations, small corporate holiday parties, dinner parties, bridal events, date nights, or simply getting friends together for something different.
Who purchases the wine?
Due to CA Alcohol Beverage Control laws, I cannot legally provide the wine (I have looked into this extensively). The host is responsible for independently purchasing the wine for the experience. Gigi’s Grapes does not sell, provide, purchase, or facilitate the purchase of alcohol.
How does the wine curation work?
During your booking, you will complete a short questionnaire regarding preferences, group size, and any specific interests or requests. Gigi's Grapes will curate a selection of wines that aligns with your group's preferences and the educational theme of your experience. The recommended wines will be provided as part of your educational experience, while the host remains solely responsible for independently purchasing the wine.
How many guests can I host?
In the traditional four & five wine education classes, the minimum is six guests and maximum guest count is ten guests for the more intimate setting. If you're planning a larger gathering or special event, reach out directly and we can discuss your needs.
How much does an experience cost and what's included?
Pricing depends on the experience selected and group size, it is priced per person.
Your Gigi’s Grapes experience includes the guided wine education, tasting experience, and wine curation based on your group's preferences.
The cost of the wine itself is not included in the Gigi’s Grapes experience price and is purchased separately by the host.

Where do you service?
Gigi’s Grapes is based in San Diego, CA and proudly services the greater San Diego area. Travel up to 15 miles from our San Diego base is complimentary.
Events located beyond the 15-mile complimentary service area, including locations throughout Orange County, may be accommodated based on availability and may be subject to an additional mileage or transportation fee. Any applicable fee will be communicated and confirmed prior to booking.
Do I need to know anything about wine beforehand?
No! If you and your friends are curious about wine, this education class is for you. This is designed to be conversational and interactive, no question is a bad question!
